This extension is making great headway in Tunbridge Wells. This is a great project for our team as it shows technicality, attention to detail and is a good sized extension.
The image below shows a thermal break between the painted and galvanised steels.
Thermal breaks are used between internal and external steel structures so the cold from outside isn’t conducted through the steel into the building, which would cause condensation to build up inside the walls and ceilings. Damp and mould would go unnoticed inside the wall cavity until it breaks through the internal finish by which time expensive remedial action would be required.
