We have been very involved with the steelwork for this quirky new build bungalow. It is an extremely interesting project and has some amazing features, including a circular steel ring in which to grow a substantial tree. There is also a smaller steel ring that will house a glass dome, to sit above the underground garage. As well as a living roof – all very interesting and totally bespoke.
As you can see the project has moved on considerably from out initial post and is almost completely closed to the elements. It’s clear for all to see why so much steel was required for this job.
The rooftop flower garden is going to be a lovely little treat to sit and enjoy, while also offering excellent insulation to the rest of the property.
The steel that will experience any cold weather has been entirely isolated from the main structure with thermal break plates.
We were able to work very closely with the architect on this and as a result the steel all went together without any issues.
